How it works
A Color camera captures high
resolution images of film, laser masks, and plates by
transmitted light, and proofs, prints and offset plates
by reflected light.
The included software located the dots and determines
area, ruling, and more. Data and images can be saved and
printed for documentation. Operation is quick, clean,
accurate, and operator independent.
Betaflex 334 Flexo Analyzer
A desktop instrument with Windows software for analysis
of dot area, screen ruling, dot size, dot
diameter, edge factor, ink void factor, mottle, and more
on halftone films, photopolymer plates, laser ablation
masks, offset plates, halftone proofs, and press
sheets. Automatic data collection and image
capture using a USB interface.
Fully automatic
flexographic analysis has been raised to a new level.
The new Betaflex 334 offers increased resolution, full
color image capture and analysis, and extraordinary ease
of use. Track halftone changes from the film to the
flexo plate and all the way to the press. Measure true
dot area, screen ruling, Contour Factor, and more.
The tabletop inspection unit captures a high-resolution
image of any film, translucent flexographic or
letterpress plate, offset plate, color proof, or press
sheet.
Measure all types of
flexo plates regardless of color, gauge, or washout
depth. Plates produced with solvent, water, and thermal
washout systems can be measured to less than a 1%
dot. Laser ablation masks and plates are evaluated
for dot area, ruling, and dot quality more accurately
than can be determined with a densitometer.
Image preview and
analysis is carried out on a PC using a convenient USB
interface. Images are captured, automatically
analyzed, and optionally stored and printed on the PC.
The new FlexoEye software runs under Windows 2000 and
offers a host of new features including stochastic
screen analysis, single dot coverage, and more.
The LED illuminator and
color camera capture film and photopolymer plate images
by transmitted light. Offset plates, proofs, and color
prints are imaged with reflected light at over 10,000
dpi.
The Video Micrometer
makes it possible to measure any feature on an image;
bar codes, line weight, dot diameter, etc. True halftone
shoulder angle can be measured directly on a plate cross
section with the Video Protractor.
Complete fingerprint
analysis and plotting in minutes instead of days with
the Automatic Data Collection function. Film, plate, and
print data is automatically written to a data file,
complete with time and date stamp. Process the file with
MS Excel to produce cutback curve plots and dot gain
analysis. Drop the saved images directly into the
spreadsheet for illustration.
Now complete reprographic
analysis is available for the entire process, all on one
convenient instrument, all with laboratory accuracy, and
all without optical dot gain.
